Welcome to the Ozblindcooks mailing list.
As the name suggests, this list is a list for people who either love cooking and want to share their tried and true recipes, or who are starting out as blind cooks, wanting tips and hints that other blind people have used in the past, to make their experience in the kitchen a positive one.
This is not a new list. In fact, it has been around for 15 years, even if it has changed its name along the way. We have experienced cooks here, as well as people starting out; and we have sighted people also who are interested enough to share their recipes and ideas with us.
So, if you have tips and tricks that you'd like to share (perhaps you have a blind-proof way of icing a cake which has it looking spectacular)? or you have questions to ask then we will be very happy to have you onboard. We do ask people to send recipes that look simple enough for a blind person to accomplish, or if they are more complicated, that you have tried yourself. The list is moderated in Australia, and so unless otherwise stated, recipes will include Australian ingredients and cooking time be in Degrees Celcius.
Nothing is off-limits, except of course the flaming of other members.
